Islands in the Eastern Gulf of Finland
There are many islands off Kotka. A visitor does not need to own a boat to get to see the archipelago since there are scheduled boat services to the islands during the summer months. Timetables are available at the Sapokka quay. Hop on board the boat of your choice! Islands worth visiting include: Varissaari with lots of outdoor recreation opportunities and the Fort Elisabeth restaurant for relaxing breaks, Haapasaari – part of the southernmost outer islands in Finland, as well as Lehmäsaari, Kukouri and many others.
