Pyhtää archipelago
The unique archipelago off the Pyhtää coastline offers excellent landing and camping sites for those travelling by boat. The astonishing Kaunissaari island can be reached by a scheduled boat service from the village of Pyhtää and from the Sapokka Water Garden in Kotka. When departing from Pyhtää, the boat first travels by the Kymijoki river through the manually operated dam and locks at Struka. The outer islands of Pyhtää form part of the Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park.
