Driving instruction to Ahvionkoski
When driving north to Anjala from Kotka, Karhula by road 357, turn left in approx. 15 km from the highway crossing to Osolahdentie road. Drive until you reach the T-junction and turn left. In 500 m you will be at the parking area. The road is only suitable for cars. The west bank of Ahvionkoski rapid has authorised fishing area as well. Drive past Susikoski, turn left to Elimäki from the T-junction and drive 4 km, turn left to Ahvio. Drive about 8 km and turn left to Kuovinkalliontie road (Ahvio). Drive 100 m and turn right.

Driving instruction to Susikoski
Drive from Karhula towards Anjala. Susikoski cafeteria will be shortly before Anjala, before the bridge.

Fishing area
The fishing area starts from Anjala Ankkapurha dam and continues towards Ahvionkoski downstream. Total approx. 17 km of area. There are two big rapids in the area: Susikoski and Ahvionkoski. Susikoski is deep and broad (under the bridge) and Ahvionkoski starts streamy and at the end it turns into a rapid. Piirteenkosi at Susikoski's upstream area is a fast-flowing rapid. Otherwise there are narrow areas with streamy water and still water pools. There are prohibited areas as well, why you need to ask for a map  from the dealer. Official parking areas are in Susikoski, Ankkapurha and Inkeroinen.

Main rules        
Spawn protection time; Fishing is completely prohibited : 1.10 to 15.11 at the rapids and streamy areas
Angling and ice fishing are allowed only in the still water pools
Fish could be hooked only in mouth.
In boat fishing: 2 rods/fisher, maximum 4 rods in the boat
Find out where you can fish from the shore and where only by rowing boat:ask you dealer
6 hours permit allowes to take one Salmon, other permits: 2 fishes /day. For Pike-perch 4 fishes /day
16.11-30.4 all Salmon and Trouts in spawing dress are to be released
