Kotka, Kuusinen's Island and the embankment

Driving instruction
Take highway 7 (Helsinki-Vaalimaa). Exit the highway at Kotka,Korkeakoski traffic sign. Follow signs for Kotkansaari centre. From the centre follow signs for Maretarium. Ruotsinsalmenkatu street runs behind the Maretarium towards the sea.Drive to the end of Ruotsinsalmentie road.

Fishing areas       
Kuusinen Island: About 1 km of free shores. Suitable for angling and spinning
Kuusinen embankment: About 600 m embankment area from the edge of the road. Suitable for angling. Steep and deep edge. (not suitable for small children)

Fishing licence       
Angling: no licence needed
spinning: For 18-64 yers old: Finnish state fishing licence fee and either Landbo or Provincial lure fishing licence
