Elimäki Museum of Local History and Culture and Local School Museum
Elimäki Museum of Local History and Culture is an open-air museum of seven buildings, which were brought to the area from different parts of Elimäki. One of the most interesting buildings in the area is an old windmill, which originally belonged to the Mustila Manor. Summer theatre performances are also held in the museum area. It is possible to experience the atmosphere of the schools in the past at the Local School Museum, which among other things displays the pupils’ own school items, school reports, exercise books and notebooks as well as things they used when they were teasing each other. In summer 2010, ‘The Missing Blackboard’- exhibition displays the museum’s own collection of blackboards over the years. More information: tel. 020 615 7875
