Kouvola, Lappalanjärvi swimming beach

Driving instructions
From road 15, when driving when driving in the direction Kotka - Heinola, pass by Kouvola and then in a few km turn right (Valkeala/Mikkeli road no.15). Follow the traffic sign for Valkeala up to the centre. Continue from Valkeala centre towards Vuohijärvi (road no.368) about 2.5 km and turn left (Hautala). The road sign for beach will be on your left in a few kms. The beach is in 500 m walking distance from the parking area (Hautalantie 210).

Fishing areas
The best fishing areas are the cliffs adjacent to the beach. Water plants are only a few and water deepens gradually. Well suited for angling and spinning. (overall hundreds of metres)

Angling: no licence needed
Spinning: For 18-64 yers old: Finnish state fishing licence fee + local or provincial lure fishing licence.
